The Ascot hotel in Copenhagen, Denmakr, was our final stay of a two week journey aroung Norway, Sweden and Denmark. This hotel was the best of our tour. The room was very comfortable and the bar was very warming. The location of this hotel is what makes it stand out above others. The largest and best movie theater is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There is also a live theater the same distance from the hotel. Tivoli Gardens is a very short walk from the hotel, as well as all kinds of public transportation. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars located near the hotel as well. Also, the breakfast buffet was the best of our tour, free to hotel guests. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Copenhagen.

Accommodation was below expectations. I stayed 4n for a conference at a nearby hotel. The building is lovely and the lobby area is cozy and inviting but that is where the positives end. I had a standard room which had no ac and being on the 3rd level with multiple windows it was way too hot for comfort in the pre summer conditions. Opening the windows for ventilation was essential but this allowed flying insects free access. The stench in the bathroom was overwhelming, not sure if this is an expectation in old buildings with ancient plumbing or if something untoward was in the drains. The requirement to pre request maid service is ridiculous, historically this has always been included in the room price and the fact that hotels are now routinely offering it as an option available on request is not acceptable. Make it clear on the hotel website or at booking, not at check-in. Based on my extensive travels this is most certainly not a 4 star accommodation and would barely register 3 stars. The location is the best aspect and there are many alternative options in the vicinity at similar prices. I cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good. Room was fine. Need to work on pillows being provided.

Old world style hotel with small elevator, small but adequate rooms. We were on 4th floor which had sloped ceiling( hit my head twice getting into bed) Air conditioning did not work first night so we moved to new room for next 2 days which was working ( other than the ceiling issue!)
No valet or help with bags. Heard the luggage Storage room in basement was self service as well?
Breakfast buffet had good selections

Nice area and room was very useful. Bathroom small but clean. Enjoyed the area, all staff spoke good English

Nice hotel, the standard rooms are a bit small. The bathroom could be equipped with a floor mat to avoid slipping.
