Loved staying at the Talbot with one exception. Room was nice but the view, not so much. Literally looked out on the roof of the first floor and air conditioning units from room 206. Would’ve been nice to get some sort of a view rather than tar, rocks, and a/c units. In the end though I just needed a good night’s sleep in a nice room and that’s what I got! On the high end though, the staff was amazing from the valet, to the desk clerks, to the wait staff and chef. All great in an excellent neighborhood full of great options. Lots of local flavor around and within walking distance, for those who are up for a little walking, of many things Chicago…Navy Pier, Michigan shopping, etc… Overall worth it and I will be coming back. I’ll pay for a better view next time:-).

The service at the hotel restaurant needs improvement for sure. However, the staff of the hotel was extremely helpful and nice every time that we needed something or asked for something. There was no safe in my room for whatever reason, and they immediately went and found an extra one and delivered it to the room. They gave my friends that came with me everything that they needed as well.

Had to ask for water, toilet paper, etc. Valet was great, but man behind desk less accommodating. We asked for a taxi to the airport very early one morning. He responded, no taxis! We had taken a taxi every day! A guest at the hotel walked a block and hailed us a taxi!!

Booked the property because my fiancé was flying in and my condo building was undergoing construction. Only to find massive construction and renovations at the hotel, a conference room restaurant, and charged for parking multiple times despite not having the option to opt out originally.
