The room is a bit rundown: door lock can’t be closed, dusty surfaces, cigarette smell even though it’s a non-smoking room. Poor cleanliness too: hair around the basin, and worst is the anti slip mat in the shower area (the bottom of the mat is full of mould and bacteria). Otherwise, view from the room is superb, overlooking the park and quiet.

The restaurants did not have many vegetarian dishes or options available. Some "vegetarian" dishes were flavored with bacon! You might want to consider at least some vegetarian options from the menu--not necessarily the buffets.

Great hotel, great staff. The amenities I used were top notch. The gym and locker rooms were clean and spacious. The "cafe" in the lobby courtyard is beautifully landscaped and the breakfast buffet is well stocked, fresh and tasty. The room was large, clean and well appointed. Service at all levels was pleasant and helpful, even through language barriers (I speak only two words of Chinese). I highly recommend becoming and IHG member if you haven't already. The perks are real. Our deluxe room (1 step up from basic) was on a club floor with a nice view, large bathroom, comfy bed and pillows. I didn't wake up with neck or back ache once (rare) even after miles of daily walking. Taxi service, lobby ATM and cash exchange machines, nearby restaurants and convenience stores- it may not be the center of Chengdu, but it's a great location and very convenient. I'd 100 percent recommend this hotel and it's staff

The Ventilation system in room is bad; could smell smoking from other rooms; and the room temp set at 23C but was extremely hot and stuffy with smell of smoke the whole time

Nice hotel but we had a lot of problems with the room and the staff, who did not speak any English just had very little customer service expertise. Too bad, could be a great hotel.
