Given the lack of staff after hours, there is a chance of noisy young people serving back loudly at early hours of the morning

I stayed here for 4 nights and the Abbott was an excellent choice.
It is withing walking distance of everything that you need. Restaurants, shops and supermarket, and the marina.
There is a great lounge in the hotel which is complete with a coffee machine, bottled water and tea.
You will not be disappointed if you choose the Abbott.

I really liked this little hotel and would stay here again. It’s a good price for the area it’s in - easily walkable to the Marina and esplanade for shopping, night market, restaurant options.
Staff are helpful and had good communication regarding a late check-in and what to do with no one at the front desk. Room was spacious and clean.

Super friendly staff, and a lovely clean, quiet haven for resting after exploring Cairns and the GBR! Walking distance to the Lagoon, the Esplanade, the Art Museum, so many restaurants and cafes, and very close to the airport. Love that there is free laundry onsite for guests and the amenities offered (free water, espresso, small snacks in the lounge). Staff are friendly and clearly care about making the experience wonderful. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Cairns!
