The TV didn't work, we asked the staff which she responded but didn't fixed the problem. The room have only one bed which when reserved said two beds.

The Hotel itself is quaint and clean, set up in an old style, Private type home setting, with very large rooms, clean, and within walking distance (blocks away) from restaurants and an actual supermarket in case one doesn't want to spend loads of money to eat every day/night. But count on NONE of the usual front desk service one may be accustomed to. My stay was for 3 full nights, and it took 15 minutes of standing in the reception area "puzzled" before a person actually appeared and checked me in when I first arrived. And I never saw that person (or any front desk/reception person) ever again during my stay. There was no one available to clean the room each day if I wanted it (not even to remove daily trash), nor was there anyone available to replace towels daily. Fortunately the room had enough for my short stay. was very strange. Quaint, but strange. If thats not an issue for you, this is your Hotel.

Overall we loved our stay, and will definitely stay again next time that we come to Boston! My only complaint is that the correct remote for our TV was missing, so we were not able to use the TV. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but were not able to find the remote until a couple of days later when we were checking out. (I’m not sure where it was, perhaps in another person’s room.) I normally would not care, but it’s February and very cold out. We were looking forward to coming back to our warm hotel room to just relax and watch a little tv, and we were not able to.

Only comment is, wish the steps and walkways around building / parking lot were cleared of snow / ice. Tricky footing toting bags in dark.

The Beacon inn is a cool old brownstone house. Very comfortable and I could walk to lunch and dinner. I made the mistake of renting a car at the airport. The T Train stop is just outside the front door. I would stay here again.
