Check in at the upper level. The incidental fee for a 3 night check in is 18000 baht which would be released 7-14 working days upon check out. This came as a shock as previously stayed at Okura Prestige and Sofitel and the incidental fee were never this excessive. I stayed in room 620 which was a deluxe king but honestly, the “city view” was a view of the multi storey carpark. I wasn’t impressed. This trip was a milestone anniversary which was fore mentioned upon booking and honestly, the half hearted gesture only came to fruition after I did my initial review with Expedia. They did come through with a Happy anniversary balloon and mango sticky rice but really, the surprise element moment was gone on day 1. Two complimentary coconuts for the duration of stay. The bathroom was huge with Aesop products for all your toiletries needs. Housekeeping was slow. Asked for sanitary bags and they came with garbage bags. Turndown service offered. Change of fruits. The buffet at the Brasserie was spread out but selection was average. Eggs and drinks were ordered on request. The latest check out request without incurring fees was at 2pm. It was convenient given it is a a few stone throw from Centralworld and a 15 minute slow walk to Central Embassy. Grab is readily accessible. BTS is near centralworld. Would I pay thousands of dollars to come here again? Never. Service was not on par to say the Sofitel which I would return in a heartbeat.

This was the most fantastic hotel stay of my life and my time in Thailand. The staff, accomodations and atmosphere are first class. The breakfast was one of the best of my life. An amazing place to start our adventure on Thailand.
