Dirty, no wifi, looks like a place people goes for breakfast. Do not see happiness in this hotel

Generally a pleasant resort to b recommend. On a side issue, I booked for a two-night stay but found that the place is quite deserted during this period. I got approval from the hotel to change my booking for one night stay but charged me for two nights. The hotel said that Expedia would refund me the other booking fees. But till today no notice of refund has been activated. Can I request for an answer please? Thank you

Good for children, pleasant hotel to stay with little kids. Eating options not many, and kitchen commands took a bit to arrive.

The room was great, property was quiet, live band was great. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again. The western food at the restaurant was good, we had the lobster special. The local food wasnt up to our expectation. Could do better. The waiters need to be better trained as some of them didnt seem to know what was available or not. Eg. We wanted freshly brewed coffee and tea, but was told it was not available. Later we found out that it was available at an additional cost. Regardless, the waiters tried their best and were very polite. Appreciate the service from all staff.

Wedding anniversary trip as this was where my husband proposed 30 years ago. It was under a different management then but it does look dated. Maintenance better than the average Malaysian resort. Nice pool. It’s a large resort but there a few guests and most of the time it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Lots of guests appeared on Saturday night, it seems for a MICE event and disappeared again by Sunday. Despite the few guests, they keep most things going, huge breakfast buffet, cafe, Japanese and local restaurants and the beach bar with a lonely pair of singers who keep on singing all night long even though I never saw anyone in the beach bar! The seasports and ATV, minigolf facilities were also open during the weekend although it seemed closed when we arrived Friday afternoon. Charge are high though - it cost RM65 for adults to play mini golf. Only 3 tackles off guests at dinner time in the Japanese restaurant and none in Herbs and Spices. Teppanyaki chef was totally focused on cooking so it wasn’t a fun experience like you would expect and food was quite tasteless. Wasted opportunity with such a beautiful seafront that they didn’t turn the unused bistro and beachbar into a seafood restaurant. We went to the next door Tunamaya resort’s Nelayan Seafood restaurant and it was bustling with tourists and locals and the food was delicious and cheap. Breakfast big interesting looking loaves of bread was stale and not replaced the next day. Nasi lemak was the best

walls not thick enough. can hear children screaming and playing next door late at night. No hand/face towels provided, just bath towels. With the high rates should have provided these too.
