Bed comfortable. Kitchen adequate. Bathroom needed a clean. Checkin staff abrupt.

Geoffrey, thank you for your review. My apologies if we seemed a bit abrupt at check-in. The chalet you were in is one of our oldest as is due for its annual maintenance, which is hard to fit in when we are so busy.

no photos were available of this accommodation option before choosing, didn't realise it was a caravan with a tiny bar fridge, barely any cooking utensils, curtains that are very sheer and don't cover the whole window, cobwebs , no airconditioning. very expensive per night for what type of accommodation it is. staff are lovely though.

Hi Adele, thank you for your review. These are our cheapest and oldest cabins which do need a bit of work to be carried out on them. As the weather in Albany does not get overly hot an air conditioner is not needed as a fan is supplied.

We were so excited for our stay at the Rose Gardens catching up with family and friends at this beautiful location however this excitement soon turned to disappointment. It is about five years since our last visit and no maintenance or upgrades have happened in that time. The grounds don’t appear to be being watered the roads need grading and the toilet blocks are appalling. Our ensuite cabin had mould in the shower bits of trim falling off, water staining on the ceiling and was in very bad disrepair. Overall a ver disappointing experience we won’t be back.

Hi Steph, as it has been 5 years since your last visit you have no idea what maintenance or upgrades have been done. In the last 6 months we have totally refurbished 4 chalets. It is very hard to water lawns when we are fully booked but they were green before the influx of people. The toilet blocks were only appalling due to certain ethnic groups who don't know how to use a western toilet and was very difficult to keep on top of their mess. I could not find any mould in your shower recess as I inspected it as soon as your review came up and yes there is a water stain on the ceiling but it does not leak.

Poor security, lack of space. Caravan was at least 40 yrs old and been renovated to a poor standard. Didn't think poor older properties like this existed any more. Avoid at all costs. Do not stay here !!!!

Robert, not sure about poor security as we have a Patrol come into the park twice every night, 7 days a week, and Managers live on site if any problems. You booked one of our oldest and smallest cabins available, hence the cheaper price compared to the others.

Very run down and very little maintenance must be done on the standard cabins but it is cheaper than some others. I would recommend the better units.

Accommodation reminded me of jimmy mcbrides hut The newest item in the shack was the toilet. Requested by management to keep clean do dishes with a quarter of a dishcloth, broom was filthy, dustpan feel apart, electrical wires hang over gas stove - unsafe. Fan and heater have nowhere safe to plug into electrical point demonstrated by the fan cord already being burnt-no extension cord provided. Never sighted management despite arriving before 5pm as the website indicated however found out on arrival they actually close at 4.30pm

Ellen, thank you for review but not sure what Jimmy McBrides hut is. You were supplied with a full size dishcloth (folded in half), detergent and tea towel for doing dishes. Also unsure as to what electrical wires hang over the gas stove as the TV is plugged in behind the fridge. Management were certainly around during your stay as we work every day and available if required after hours and are usually in the office until 5pm.

The interior of the cabin was like a 1960 caravan. The flywire on the window was torn, the sink kept blocking, the curtains didn't cover all the window and the backing was flaking off, one hotplate on the 'oven' didn't work, and you couldn't use the oven and hot plate at the same time. Hot water was only warm, and the water pressure was extremely poor.

Thank you for your review Dureene. I have passed your concerns to our maintenance department as we didn't know about the sink blocking, hotplate not working, hot water and water pressure. Unfortunately if we aren't told of any problems we don't know.
