Poor communication, no transparency and hidden fees that involve the snack bar. I feel like snacks should be complimentary considering that you’re already paying for the resort

Loved the place. Our first visit to RAK and for the price and location (at Marjan), this property was a no-brainer!

Great family hotel. But there is a swimming pool and beach area for adults, which is great.

Bad service

Long wait at check in. Very long queue for breakfast and service very slow. Coffee cold, plates not available at some serving stations. Incorrectly charged in Boons Previously stayed and had no complaints then.

Great hotel!

We stayed a week in a room facing the swimming pool end of January and it was great. Then when our daughter joined us for a week of teleworking, we moved to a bigger room with a nice terrace in a beachfront chalet and it was wonderful! Great staff, good breakfast! We hope to come again next year!

Fire detector issues.

Wonderful hotel with a well-designed infrastructure. We enjoyed the facilities and the restaurants. The only disappointing point was the fire alarm sensor mounted in the room, which was blinking at all times, every ten seconds. I assume that it was installed incorrectly, as it was flashing directly to the eyes when you sleep. It was so annoying, so I couldn't fall asleep, and I had to go down to the reception to get some help. Unfortunately, there was no possibility to switch off or deactivate it remotely, and the staff advised me that they could put a sticker on it to cover the light. This was not possible either as my wife and little son were already sleeping and only me were struggling. I asked if they could get an eye mask for me, but sadly it was not available in the hotel, so I had to sleep with a t-shirt on my face. On the next day, they came over to my room, to place a sticker on the fire detector. At night, I discovered that the sticker was not wide enough and the stubborn light was still hitting my eyes, so I asked them to come once again. Finally, they put a huge piece of tape to cover the good portion of the detector, so I could sleep. Some of the staff were quite helpful, and they seemed really sorry that this happened to me. On the other hand, some hotel employees kept on telling me that this is a normal procedure and that all rooms have the same type of detectors, which doesn't bother anyone. Rest of all, it was a pleasant stay with lots of great moments.
